What Is Ozone Disc Nucleolysis ?

Ozone Disc Nucleolysis, also known as Ozone Nucleolysis or Ozone Therapy for disc-related conditions, is a minimally invasive medical procedure used to treat certain spinal disc problems, particularly herniated or bulging discs. It involves the use of medical-grade ozone gas to alleviate pain and reduce pressure on the affected spinal discs.

The primary goal of Ozone Disc Nucleolysis is to relieve the symptoms associated with herniated or bulging spinal discs. By reducing the size of the herniation and reducing pressure on nearby nerves, it can help alleviate pain, numbness, tingling, and other discomfort caused by the disc problem.

Indications

  • Disc Herniation (Slipped Disc)
  • Sciatica
  • Chronic Low Back Pain
  • Degenerative Disc Disease
  • Discogenic Pain
  • Facet Joint Syndrome

Contra Indications

Injections are generally avoided in patients who have a systemic illness or skin infection over the puncture site, bleeding problems or coagulopathy, or an allergy to local anaesthetics or any of the drugs that will be administered.

Complications

Ozone disc nucleolysis, also known as ozone therapy or intradiscal ozone therapy, is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat disc herniation or protrusion by injecting ozone into the affected disc. While it is considered a relatively safe procedure, there are potential complications associated with it.

Post Procedure

After undergoing ozone disc nucleolysis, a minimally invasive procedure aimed at treating disc-related conditions, patients enter a post-procedure phase marked by considerations for healing and potential symptom relief. Typically utilized for conditions such as herniated discs or disc-related pain, this procedure involves the injection of ozone into the affected disc to reduce inflammation and promote healing.
